What to remember
“My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?” (psalm 22:1)
This is the prayer of many, a lot of people get despaired thinking that God is not near. Although it is normal to get sad, making a habit out of it can affect a person in many ways. We are tripartite and anguish can touch all three areas of our truth. Here are 7 promises of God in those times you don’t know what to do.
7.Psalm 34:15 “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry”
God is as powerful as loving, he is omniscient so nothing can escape his sight. Whatever you go through, just know that God is only one prayer away. It doesn’t have to be long, you don’t have to be loud neither, just pray and trust him wherever you are.
6.Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me”
Not even one of your problems is too small for him to notice, God will be with you wherever you go. Just stay in his presence and do his will. A lot of times, God allows something to happen to someone because they are not in his will. Yes, we all sin and repent. But practicing a sin over and over or being connected to something that does not please God, can open a door to an addiction of that sin(idolatry) idolatry is not always about something you can touch, idolatry is allowing something or someone to take God’s place in your life, heart, mind etc.. Idolatry could be: Doubts; when you allow your overthinking or lack of trust to make you forget what God said he can do in your life. It could be someone you spend all your time with, without thinking of spending some time with God. Therefore, get right with God, surrender your needs and he will take care of them.
5.Jonah 2:1-2 “In my distress I called to the Lord, and he answered me. From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help, and you listened to my cry”
God is a spirit being, that means you can find him anywhere. You’d be surprised at the wonders he can do with your life. He is just waiting for you to call.
4.Proverbs 23: 18 “There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off”
God has a plan a purpose for your pain, his word is pure and his promises never fail. Trust him and you will experience a different kind of peace.
3.But as it is written:
“Eye has not seen, hear has not heard, nor entered in the heart of man, the things God has prepared for those who love him”- 1 corinthians 2:9
This is probably one of my favorites because it shows that God cares enough to fulfill our needs beyond our plans and anything we have imagined for ourselves. God knows what’s good for us.
2.Ephesians 5:12-13
‘’For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes you may be able to stand your ground.”
Anyone who is a true believer and has an intimate relationship with God, will be persecuted. So you may be facing struggles of any kind right now, but just know that the battle is not yours, just stay in God’s presence, stay in his will and he will accomplish all his promises.
1.Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future”
As long as you surrender everything to God, smallest to greatest. You can remain still because he loves you and wants what’s good for you.
God is never late, never far, never busy. God is willing to replace your sadness with joy. As long as you remain in his will. Every pain has a purpose, learn the lesson and keep trusting God.
